Hawkins and Associates is a highly creative design firm specializing in innovative contemporary architecture and interiors for residential and commercial projects. Each project is designed to be a unique reflection of the client and the intended function of the structure. In addition, each design is tailored to its specific site, topography, and climate. Great care is taken to integrate the structure, technology, and mechanical systems with the architecture and interiors. Construction detailing and construction administration are given the same level of care and respect as the creative design process. Jack Hawkins is LEED certified and has been practicing sustainable architecture for 25 years; he is committed to creating architecture that is beautiful, functional and sustainable.

Play VideoHawkins and associates is currently working on a new Gymnasium and Recreation Facility for Eureka County High School in Eureka, Nevada. It is a 42,000 sf structure. The building is sustainable in terms of its energy consumption and will use no fossil fuel consumption for the heating system. The heating is provided with hot water solar panels as well as a ground source water loop. Cooling at 6600 foot elevation is minimal and will be achieved with an efficient evaporative cooling system. Many thanks to Gordon Magnin with Hawkins and associates as well as Bob Hooft of Hooft Architecture for all of their hard work on this project. The video is a BIM Model computer generated image of the structure. Please enjoy.
